Get this error when I try to activate this plugin
"The plugin does not have a valid header."
I can't figure this one out for the life of me. Here's the procedure:
1. Admin of site creates new user
2. New user gets activation email
3. New user activates and is then sent an email with their username and password thanking them for logging in
4. Password says it is [User Set]; no admin ever set the password (it was not asked for) and the user in question is never prompted to set password
5. General confusion of the non-tech savvy admins and baffled users ensues
Is this default behavior? My company hired an independent contractor to make this site, and I am somewhat new to multisite, so I myself am somewhat confused here too. Not sure where to start trying to fix this problem.
Hi there,
I'm getting this error when I try activate your plugin:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class OAuthSignatureMethod_HMAC_SHA1 in /home/content/72/11063472/html/solipse/wp-content/plugins/ai-twitter-feeds/twitteroauth/OAuth.php on line 120
How can I go about fixing this?
Thanks.
Hello everyone
I'm building a plugin at the moment. In the "index"-page (the one with the information about the plugin) I use require_once
. When I want to activate the plugin, a fatal error is thrown:
Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
No more information is shown.
I commented all the lines except require_once plugins_url('/php/hooks.php', __FILE__);
out and checked the path. Still triggering a fatal error. The problem has to be the require_once
command but I don't know what to do about it. I have used this command in the exact same context, file and version of WordPress before and it worked back then.
Hello there,
since trying to update to Jetpack 3.4 and 3.4.1 the day after I'm seeing a blank page on my Dashboard.
I've then disabled the running one, deleted it and uploaded the newest via FTP. Since then all I got activating it was this message:
Your website needs to be publicly accessible to use Jetpack: site_inaccessible
Error Details: The Jetpack server was unable to communicate with your site http://www.koolinus.net/blog [IXR -32300: transport error: http_request_failed Recv failure: Connection reset by peer]
As with email support from both some Jetpack staffers and Bluehost (which is my provider) I've tried to:
- disable all plugins
- go back to a standard theme (twenty fifteen)
- delete and recreate my .htaccess file
Nothing worked.
Can you give me an hand on this? Thanks…

Fatal error from PHP error log:
[23-Mar-2015 11:50:36 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function get_old_user() on a non-object in [...]\wp-content\plugins\admin-bar-user-switching\admin-bar-user-switching.php on line 111
To reproduce this:
1. De-activate and delete Admin Bar User Switching
2. Install Admin Bar User Switching 4.1.1 via WordPress Plugin installer
3. Activate Plugin
4. No fatal error on activation trigger so Admin screen loads
4. Fatal error after activation causes blank screen after WP Admin
5. Affects all WP Admin screens, doesn't cause blank screen on Theme side but does blank our WP Admin bar.
Solution:
Manually rename admin-bar-user-switching to _admin-bar-user-switching within /wp-content/plugins/... via FTP or file manager.
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am installing WP Job Manager 1.21.4 successfully on Listify wordpress theme. However when I activate it all the admin panel pages turn into white blank page although I am logged in. The only way to get rid of the plugin after that is to go back to the cpanel and delete the folder manually. I tried several times to activate and it causes the same problem. Could you please help me to solve this issue?
Thanks,
Dimitris
Hi,
I recently set up vcblurb.co.uk, and the activation link that is sent to new users redirects them to a 404 Page not found message (using BuddyPress).
Now, I have tried most suggestions I've seen in this forum, none of them worked. (I have both an Activation and a Login page that map to proper pages, I've "ticked" the "All users can register" box...etc).
Any ideas / tips on how to fix this?
Is there any way to customize the activation page?
When a users subscribes in PayPal - they are redirected to a page telling them to complete their subscription by checking their email, this page is not styled like the rest of our pages...
Any ideas?
Is there a way to tell what user has activated or deactivated a plugin? Some kind of log? We would like to keep track of things like this. Thanks!
When I try to activate jetpack on http://awesomeindies.net I get the following:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class Jetpack in /home2/awesomt6/public_html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/class.jetpack.php on line 25
I've uninstalled the plugin and reinstalled it, but it still doesn't work.

I got this fatal error when installing and activating the NamastePRO.
Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Fatal error: Call to undefined function namaste_add_db_fields() in /home/mnpdomain/www/freshmanwebsiteinterns/wp-content/plugins/namaste-pro/models/basic.php on line 99
Why would I get this error.
I have tried deactivating all plugins and then activating again. Same fatal error happened.
Please advise.
Thank you.
Hello,
Is the following debug information upon network or site-by-site activation anything to be concerned about? Also note the subsequent debug message after activation has completed.
What can I do to resolve these?

when activating, it triggers a fatal error, my whole site is useless now

It seems that I've done everything in general settings (like enabling the Coming Soon) but nothing is different on the website. The Live Preview looks fine but is not translating to the page. Thanks for the help.
Hi there
I'm not sure if this is peculiar to my installation, but with this plugin activated, Users who haven't activated their account yet can still login.
I noticed this just this morning, so it may be related to the latest Buddypress update.
One of my new members has posted replies on a topic, yet their profile page says 'recently not active'?! I checked into and they have not activated their account yet.
I've now tested it with some new accounts and it seems:
if you use your email address, not username, you can log right in after registering, without activating first via email.
Hi
I couldn't activate Jetpack until I disabled the themedy tool box. Can I activate it again without it stuffing up Jetpack? Do I need this plugin? There's a sign saying its suggested, but don't want it to mess up Jetpack.
The site in question is http://awesomeindies.net
I downloaded the GeoDirectory Framework from this website: https://github.com/GeoDirectory/GeoDirectory_framework
(Based on Paolo's recommendation- not illegally.)
Now when I try to activate the Modern Child Theme I recently purchased, I encounter the following error message:
Broken Themes
The following themes are installed but incomplete. Themes must have a stylesheet and a template.
GDF Modern parent theme- The parent theme is missing. Please install the "GeoDirectory_framework"
I know I have the parent theme correctly installed and activated, so I'm perplexed as to why the child theme can't register that. Any thoughts?
When I try to activate the plugin, I get the following error:
Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_PAAMAYIM_NEKUDOTAYIM in /home/content/47/4752947/html/backroads/wp-content/plugins/wp-job-manager/includes/class-wp-job-manager-forms.php on line 39
I have no other plugins activated, and I get the error regardless of theme choice.
Any suggestions?
